The Employers Pensions Forum (EPF) is delighted to announce that Professor Brian Cantor, Vice-Chancellor of the University of York, is the new EPF Chair.
Commenting on his new position, Professor Cantor, said: “These are increasingly challenging times for all in higher education and securing the future of the sector’s pensions is important. I look forward to working as EPF Chair, building on what has been achieved to date.”
An EPF spokesperson added: “We are delighted that Professor Cantor has been appointed as EPF’s new Chair. His interest in pensions issues will be particularly helpful in leading EPF for the sector’s employers and seeking to achieve a sustainable strategy for pensions for all in the sector in the coming years.”

Professor Brian Cantor became Vice-Chancellor of the University of York on 1 October 2002. He is regarded as a leading authority on materials manufacturing with an outstanding international record. Before moving to York, Professor Cantor was Head of the Division of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the University of Oxford.
Membership of the Employers Pension Forum (EPF) consists of representatives drawn from Vice-Chancellors, Finance Directors, HR Directors, Registrars and Chairs of Governing bodies, all with considerable experience in this area.
